Prof. Luigi Bavaresco

He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree (“Laurea“) in Agricultural Sciences at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Piacenza (Italy) in 1980, where he is currently an associate Professor in Viticulture. He received his Doctoral Degree in Agricultural Sciences with an emphasis in Viticulture at the Ecole National Supérieure Agronomique (E.N.S.A.), Montpellier (France) in 1991. Thanks to National Research Council scholarships, he developed several research activities for the Federal Institute for Grapevine Breeding Geilweilerhof (Germany) in 1985, and for the Department of Viticulture and Enology at the University of California in Davis in 1992. He was an invited professor for 6 months (March – August 2000) at the University of Burgundy (Dijon, France) – Institute Universitaire de la Vigne et du Vin Jules Guyot – with teaching and research tasks. He attended many national and international symposiums as an invited speaker. He is a member of the Scientific and Technical Committee of the Organisation Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin (OIV, Paris). From 2010 to 2014, he was appointed Director of the Research Centre for Viticulture at Conegliano (Italy).
