Justin Cohen, invited American professor of the Master Vintage since the beginning of January, makes his thesis at The University of South Australia on the marketing of wine. He gave a conference, on March 19th of this year, to the ESA. During this last one, he presented his research as well as a comparative study of the various marketing strategies used in Europe and in Australia.

Mobility grants towards Chile and South Africa for French and European students and scholars
A new opportunity is given to the International Vintage Master in the frame of Erasmus Mundus programme : the action 3
As from October 2007, in the frame of Erasmus Mundus programme, the International Master Vintage will give French and European students the possibility to follow part of their course in South Africa or Chile. Three scholars from the Vintage consortium will be welcomed as guest teachers in these two countries for teaching and research programmes.
Ten mobility scholarships of a significant amount will be offered to students for a three-month study period and three three-month scholarships will be offered to scholars.
A partnership has been signed between Group ESA and Stellenbosch University and the Pontifica Universidad Catolica of Santiago in Chile for the validation of course periods.
It is a new recognition which opens new horizons to French and European students !

The students have just finished to present their marketing project. Then, They will follow their education program by doing the module language, viticulture and environment and at last, a study trip through Italian, Hungarian and swiss vineyard.

In february 2005, the International Master Vintage has been selected for 5 years as Erasmus Mundus Master Course.
The Erasmus Mundus programme is a co-operation and mobility programme in the field of higher education which promotes the European Union as a centre of excellence in learning around the world. It supports European top-quality Masters Courses and enhances the visibility and attractiveness of European higher education in third countries. It also provides EU-funded scholarships for third country nationals participating in these Masters Courses, as well as scholarships for EU-nationals studying in third countries.
Only 4 masters on 36 selected are in the agriculture and foodsciences field. The Vintage master is the only selected master in the vine and wine sector. This selection will allow the consortium of the International vintage master to give yearly around 25 scolarships to non UE students and 3 for non UE Visiting professors.
January 2005 : The 3rd intake students and some of 2nd intake students are following in Angers the International Economy and Marketing of wines module, 11 students from partner universities have joined them for 6 weeks as an intensive programm.
December 2004 : The 3rd Intake students are following the Enology module in the Ingenieur School of Changins (Switzerland) from october to december
October 2004 : The 3rd intake of the Vintage Master has begun his course in Angers (France) with the modules Foreign languages applied to wine sector and Preparation to professional project.
July 04 : the international committee of the master had his meeting in Cesena, organised by Bologna University. At this occasion, an international seminar was organised by Bologna University in Caviro Company on the "Technical and economic Evolutions of the wine sector in Europe"
June 04 : The 2nd intake students studied viticulture in the university of Piacenza for 5 weeks
February 04 : The second Meetings of the European Vine growing in Loire Valley took place Monday February 2, 2004 in the Wines of the Loire Fair- Exhibition site of Angers.
Wine sectors in Europe with 25 : opportunities and risks
The opening of Europe with 10 new countries at May 1, 2004 deeply will upset the current European wine landscape. Experts and professionals of France, Italy, Portugal, Hungary, Switzerland, Czech, Slovenia and Romania will come to express their point of view and to discuss on this subject Monday February 2, 2004 as from 2 p.m. within the framework of the Living room of the Wines of the Loire to the Exhibition site of Angers.
Group ESA of Angers, associated to its 11 European partners and Interloire, proposed to the professionals of the sector to approach the stakes related to the widening of the European borders. These meetings are organized at the time of the launching of the first promotion of the National Diploma of Master Vintage
The International Master of Science Vintage received in July 2003 the enabling of National Diploma of Master on behalf of the ministry for teaching and French research.
The teaching committee of the Vintage Master in Vila-Réal (Portugal) July the 11 and 12. New candidatures presented for September 2003 were examined.
The students of the first promotion of Msc Vintage studied the vineyards of Spain and Portugal during their study trip three weeks in July 03. The next year, the trip will proceed to Italy, Switzerland and Hungary.
The title of International Master of Science Vintage received on March 14, 2003 the accreditation of the Conference of the Large French Schools.
