The place of the module changes every year and is decided by the teaching committee.

Duration and period :
6 weeks in May-June of the year N+1

Objectives :
-  To understand and analyze systems of production existing in vine growing
-  To be able to take into account the environmental constraints

Contents :

1 - Knowledge of the vine as a plant
Biology, morphology and physiology of the vine
-  Type of vines, rootstocks
-  Morphology and physiology of the vine
-  Cycles of development of the vine
-  Ecophysiology of the vine

2 - Vine growing techniques
-  Vine nursery
-  Production targets. (In each university, the contents will be adapted to the regional productions )

3 - Vine growing and environment
-  Integrated production
-  Organic vine growing, ...
-  Environmental management, traceability in wines

4 - Special types of vine growing
-  Vine growing in mountaneous zones
-  Vine growing in tropical zones...

A group study and an individual bibliographical research are done by the students

Worms of the bunch in organic vine growing : evolution of parasitism
Water stress of vine
Impact of various fertilization on the vine
Impact of the spreading of viticultural effluents on the vine

Evaluation
The teaching methods (activities suggested, evaluation) are different in each partner university.

For example : written exam, bibliographical synthesis, report on the study, oral presentation
