Note: Tsez, like most languages of the Nakh-Dagestanian language family, to which it belongs, has a correspondence with regard to the class of noun. Tsez distinguishes four classes in the singular, but these are reduced to two in the plural; Concordance occurs for most vocal beginnings, some vocal and adverbian adjectives, for some initial vocal particles, and for certain pronouns and numbers. After presenting the basic system, we look at a number of more complex instances. In conjunction, Tsez sometimes uses a resolution rule, sometimes incidental, with interesting differences between the conjunction `and` and `or`. The proposition is that the choice of chord conjugation is motivated by differences in the movement distance of the verbal head.
